Who is to be praised.
This is the question,
Is he to be praised, who feeds a thousand mouths,
Is he to be praised, who protects the innocent,
Is he to be praised, who builds a 1000 temples,
Is he to be praised, punishes the wicked,
Is he to be praised, who entertains the minds,
Is he to be praised, who sustains the economy.
Is he to be praised, who protects the forests,
Is he to be praised, who seeks self knowledge,
Is he to be praised, the guru who grants it.
The self is the root of all desires,
The self is the one who acts,
The self feeds a thousand mouths, all of those are for the self,
The self is the protector, of the innocent jivas,
The self alone builds a 1000 temples, meant to worship the self alone,
The self is punisher of the wicked deeds of self,
The self entertains, through arts of the self,
The self sustains, in the form of mahalaxmi,
The self is the forest. and the protector of the trees,
The self alone seeks, oneself, in ignorance,
The self is the guru, the shining atman.
He who shows I am the whole, Isnt he all ,
Then isnt it true,
That whosoever is praised,
The one who is praised,
Is the guru, the self knowledge.
Aham brahmasmi, the beacon of light.
He alone is the one deserving of praise.
